Union Minister: Tamils provoked the violence in Bengaluru

Former Chief Minister and incumbent Minister in Modi Government Sadananda Gowda has blamed that Tamilians are involved in attacking and provoking the native Kannadigas to resort on violence over the Cauvery water dispute.

Gowda said to an news channel “ Don’t blame Kannadigas, Tamilians are provoking the people of Karnataka. We are subjected to whammy, we have no water”.

‘Kannadigas are being attacked at TN by Tamil people, in spite of the fact that Kannadigas showed magnanimity over them.  Now the time has came for cooling down,’ Gowda  said.

Union Minister had made an appeal to all political organizations and other outfits to shun violence and stop politicizing the Cauvery river dispute.

He said the decision to make an appeal in the Supreme Court was unanimously arrived at an all-party delegates meeting, the e decision binds all political parties and everyone is responsible for the decision.

Further, the matter in under the disposal of Supreme Court and at this time there is no role to be played by the Union Government.

Earlier in the week, a mob of around 200 kept fire to over 40 buses of KPN travels in suburban Bengaluru.

The proprietor of company hails from Salem and he strongly reacted and was seeking answers how the torching of his vehicles will lead to a solution for water dispute.
