Tami Nadu State general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Vanathi Srinivasan has to face the tune of indecent behaving by a party cadre during her visit to a temple at Coimbatore.
The police had registered a case against 46-year-old Muthuvel who presented her a rose and proposed love. The city police detained him and booked him under Section 75.
Sources indicate that Vanathi and her supporters were visiting a temple at the city to offer prayers for Prime Minister Modi on the occasion of his 66th birthday.
The accompanying workers chased him out and called the police. Vanathi was not willing to make a formal complaint to police terming it a minor incident.
She wanted the person to undergo counseling sessions as he seems to be mentally disturbed. Vanathi also informed that he was keeping on stalking her for the past few days through SMS.
Earlier to her visit to Temple, she laid foundation stone for building two public conveniences for the area residents. She also presented gold ornaments to the child born on 17th September same as her leader Modi.
The toilets are to be built with the financial support from a NGO name Deshbaktha.
She contested the recently concluded state assembly elections and lost.
